Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) accounted for more than half of the Gray Wolves' offense, scoring 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the floor.

The Gray Wolves came out strong in the opening quarter, building an eight-point advantage, 16-8, less than seven minutes into the contest. Fidler scored 11of her points in the first period, connecting on 5-of-6 shot, and Lourdes took a 16-12 lead into the second.

"I was pleased with how we came out ready to play," head coach
Karen McConnell said afterwards. "We got them in foul trouble and had a few of their key players on the bench, but unfortunately for us, we got ourselves in the same situation."

Lourdes made just 2-of-11 shots from the floor in the second as the Golden Eagles outscored the Gray Wolves 21-5 in the period to take a 33-21 lead into the break. A 16-0 run spanning eight minutes proved to be the difference in the quarter.

"We didn't make adjustments when they went to zone," McConnell added. "We got frustrated and had too much one-on-one."

Cornerstone maintained a 10-to-14 point lead the entire third quarter before holding the Gray Wolves to just six points in the final stanza. Leading 50-37, the Golden Eagles kept Lourdes off of the scoreboard the final 5:22 of the contest.

Lourdes shot just 30% from the floor for the game, misfiring on all 11 three-point attempts. The Gray Wolves also committed 20 turnovers.

Jesse Sheridan led Cornerstone (2-3, 1-0 WHAC) with 19 points.

Lourdes (2-3, 0-1) will take to the road for four of its next five games, beginning on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to battle Concordia (Mich.). Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Cardinal Fieldhouse.
