After trailing by five early, back-to-back baskets by
Jessica Durr (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton H.S.) pulled Lourdes to within one, 10-9, five minutes into the game. Davenport's defense then held the Gray Wolves scoreless for more than 11 minutes, tallying 26 unanswered points to break the game open and build a 36-9 advantage. The Panthers proceeded to take a 39-14 lead into the locker room.
Â
Durr scored the first two points of the second half for Lourdes before Davenport went on a 9-0 run to take its largest lead, 48-16 before the Gray Wolves chipped away. A 21-7 run over nine minutes closed the gap to 18 before the Panthers scored the next seven points to end any hopes of a Lourdes comeback.
Â
Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) led Lourdes with 16 points, making four three-pointers to give her 300 for her career. Durr tallied 12 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds as the only other Gray Wolf to finish in double figures.

Tilden and Durr joined
Emily Orsini (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban H.S.),
Tara Yurek (Cleveland, Ohio/Valley Forge H.S.),
Kaitlyn Cramer (Toledo, Ohio/Emmanuel Christian H.S.), and
Hailey Schroeder (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville H.S.) as the seniors playing in their final home game.

"Obviously Davenport is a very good team," head coach
Karen McConnell said after the game. "I was proud of how we fought back in the second half. Obviously Senior Night is always an emotional event for the players."
Â
Lourdes shot 41.3% from the floor, nearly an identical percentage as Davenport (41.5%), but committed 33 turnovers which led to 34 Panther points. The Gray Wolves also went just 6-of-14 from the free throw line while Davenport connected on 20-of-26.
Â
Tiesha Stokes led Davenport (27-0, 21-0 WHAC) with 18 points and 10 rebounds off of the bench in 14 minutes of action while Linnea Brandholm added 14 points. The Panthers, which already had wrapped up the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular season title last week, remained one of two unbeaten teams in NAIA Division II.

Lourdes (8-21, 4-17) will close out the 2014-2015 season on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at Racer Gymnasium in Lima, Ohio.
