Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: After posting a perfect conference mark during the regular season, Lourdes enters the Great Lakes Conference tournament, hosted by Cincinnati Christian, as the top seed on Friday.  The Gray Wolves, ranked sixth nationally, will face eighth-seeded Trinity International in the quarterfinals.  With a win, Lourdes would advance to Saturday's semifinals against the winner of fourth-seeded Saint Xavier and fifth-seeded Siena Heights.  The championship match is slated for Saturday evening.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his fourth season both on the Lourdes bench, and overall coaching men's volleyball, Greg Reitz has a 66-36 (.647) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  He was named to the MAMVIC East Coach of the Year in 2012 and the Great Lakes Conference Coach of the Year in 2014.  Reitz is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Trinity International as the Gray Wolves registered a pair of 3-0 sweeps against the first-year Trojans earlier this season.  The Gray Wolves are 12-0 all-time against Siena Heights after sweeping the Saints three times this year, while posting a 10-0 mark against Saint Xavier, including a pair of wins this season.  Lourdes is 4-5 against Cardinal Stritch all-time, 9-1 versus Robert Morris (Ill.), 4-0 against Cincinnati Christian, and 2-0 against Calumet.

Wrapping Last Week: Lourdes opened the week by capping a perfect conference season with a 3-0 win at Siena Heights on Tuesday behind 16 kills from Frank Craig.  On Friday, Lourdes notched 3-0 sweeps against both #6 Saint Ambrose and #5 Grand View.  Craig had 15 kills against the Bees while Jo'Lon Clark tallied 18 kills in the win versus the Vikings.  The Gray Wolves closed the regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 setback to #4 Missouri Baptist despite 15 kills from Craig and a 3-1 loss to #1 Park when Clark tallied 16 kills.

Scouting Trinity International: The eighth-seeded Trojans went winless during the regular season in the program's first year of men's volleyball.  David Priest leads Trinity International with 309 kills while Austin Tafoya has handed out 415 assists.  Evan Roble has tallied a team-best 107 digs while Kevin Montelongo has recorded 32 blocks.

Scouting Saint Xavier: The fourth-seeded Cougars enter the tournament having won three of their last four matches following a straight sets win over Trinity International on Tuesday.  Sam Kull leads Saint Xavier with 298 kills and 104 blocks while Moises Lopez has tallied 650 assists.  Defensively, Dominic Villa leads the Cougars with 227 digs.

Scouting Siena Heights: The fifth-seeded Saints enter the tournament having posted three consecutive sweeps after a win over Calumet on Tuesday.  Gilius Blinstrubas leads the team with 206 kills while Arthur Mattje Gwoszdz has handed out 580 assists.  Zak Krug has tallied 187 digs while Lance Blough has recorded a team-leading 61 blocks for Siena Heights.

Highest Ranking Ever in the Polls: Lourdes moved up to sixth in the latest NAIA Men's Volleyball poll (week 10) after being ranked 10th last week.  This is the highest ranking ever for the Lourdes program.  The Gray Wolves opened the year eighth in the preseason poll before moving up to seventh after week one, which had marked an all-time high.  Lourdes previous high was ninth in the team's inaugural 2012 season.

A School Record for Wins: Lourdes has set a new school record for victories after notching its 18th triumph of the season against Grand View last Friday.  The Gray Wolves previous high for wins in a year came last year as the team posted 17 triumphs.  Lourdes has won at least 15 games every season since the program began in 2012.

Miller Named Libero of the Week: Brad Miller was named the NAIA National Libero of the Week for the second time this season and his fourth time in his career this past week.  Miller averaged 3.69 digs per set over five matches last week.

All-Time in Tourney Play: Lourdes is 4-2 all-time in conference tournament play. The Gray Wolves won quarterfinal games in 2012 and 2013 against Saint Xavier both seasons before falling to Saint Ambrose in the tournament semifinals each year.  Last season, Lourdes had a bye in the quarterfinals, defeated Robert Morris (Ill.) in the semifinals, and Cardinal Stritch in five sets in the championship.

Perfect at Home: Lourdes finished the home slate a perfect 8-0 this year.  The Gray Wolves have now won 13 straight home matches, a streak that began Feb. 7, 2014 against Saint Xavier.
