Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes opens the month of April on Wednesday afternoon, returning to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play to "host" Aquinas at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Mich. The Gray Wolves are still in search of their first league victory of the season, but will play their next three contests against WHAC foes to close out the conference portion of the season.
Head Coach Paul Sieben: In his second season on the Lourdes bench,
Paul Sieben has a 4-22 (.154) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as a collegiate head coach. He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Lourdes is 0-2 all-time against Aquinas dating back to March 22, 2014. The Saints won the first meeting between the two schools last year 19-2 in Grand Rapids, Mich. before notching at 24-9 triumph over the Gray Wolves on April 7, 2014 in a game played in Adrian, Mich. Â
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell behind to Lawrence Tech 9-3 just over 20 minutes into the contest on Wednesday afternoon and could not recover, falling 9-3 to the Blue Devils at the Legacy Center.Â

Faith Fisher both scored four times for the Gray Wolves in the setback. On Saturday afternoon, Indiana Tech built a 13-1 lead early in the second half on the way to a 16-4 win in Fort Wayne, Ind.Â
Kelsey Schiel paced Lourdes with a pair of goals in the loss. On Sunday, Lourdes took a 13-8 lead into the final 13 minutes at Walsh, but needed the game-winning goal to come from
Faith Fisher with 3:24 to play to down the Cavaliers 14-13. Fisher and Long each scored three times in the victory.
Scouting Aquinas: The Saints snapped a three-game losing skid on Sunday afternoon, scoring a 10-9 win over third-ranked Indiana Tech at home. Alexandra Burns leads Aquinas with 42 points on the season, having scored 32 times while adding 10 assists. Crosby Hannah has added 32 goals as well while tallying 40 points. Lucy Montanaro has played the majority of minutes for the Saints, sporting a 14.33 goals against average and a .381 save percentage.
Tripling the Win Total: After winning just once during the entire inaugural 2014 season, Lourdes has already posted three victories in their first 10 contests this season. The Gray Wolves are a perfect 3-0 against non-conference foes this year, with one non-league contest remaining to end the season at Franciscan.
Scoring Leaders: Alyssa has already tallied 31 goals for the Gray Wolves, second most in a season in program history behind
Faith Fisher's 40 tallies in 2014. Long has a team-high 34 points on the year as well, trailing just Fisher's 44 from last year for most all-time. Fisher is second on the team in scoring with 18 goals this year while
Mackenzie Moriarty has added 14 markers.
Schiel Wins Possessions: Kelsey Schiel has recorded 24 draw controls this season for the Gray Wolves, most on the team. The freshman also leads Lourdes with 24 ground balls on the year. Schiel has capitalized on her fortune, scoring eight times as a rookie on just 19 shot attempts.
Tandem Split Time in Goal: Kiley Ketteman and
Margaret Janiga has shared time in the cage this season for the Gray Wolves. Ketteman sports a 15.59 goals against average and a .336 save percentage in 350 minutes of action while Janiga has appeared in nearly 250 minutes, carrying a 12.49 GAA and a .333 save percentage.
Leading at the Break Equals Success: Lourdes is a perfect 3-0 this season when leading at halftime. However, when the Gray Wolves have fallen behind at intermission, they have yet to record a win, suffering a 0-7 record.
Sharing the Wealth: Lourdes has had 10 different players figure into the scoring column this season out of the 17 on the roster that have appeared in at least one game.Â
Shelby Kellar became the latest to tally a goal, scoring her first as a collegian on Wednesday against Lawrence Tech.
