Lourdes closed out the home portion of the 2015 season on Saturday afternoon, splitting a doubleheader with Cornerstone at Mercy Field. Lourdes won the opener 5-4 in 13 innings on Senior Day before the Golden Eagles registered a 3-0 win in the nightcap.
Â
The Gray Wolves had to rally in the opener to force extra innings as Cornerstone plated single runs in the first and third frames to build a 2-0 lead. Lourdes cut its deficit in half in the bottom of the fourth as
Tim Ward (Mount Orab, Ohio/Western Brown H.S.) doubled home
Zak Laubscher (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinbsburg H.S.).

Cornerstone added a pair of unearned runs in the sixth to increase the lead to 4-1 before the Gray Wolves began their rally in the bottom of the seventh. With one out,
