The Gray Wolves hit .368 for the match, led by
Stef Comte's (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) eight kills on nine swings for an .889 hitting percentage.Â
Ave Stout (Huntertown, Ind./Bishop Luers H.S.) hit .583 and added eight kills as did
Stephanie Ruffing (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty H.S.).

"Our hitters continued to swing efficiently for us tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the victory. "We did a good job of continuing to serve strong but our passing was down a little tonight. We're happy to come away with the 3-0 win though."

Lourdes tallied nine service aces in the match, including three from
Lexie Curtis (Toledo, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) during an 8-0 Gray Wolf run to put the hosts on top 12-5 in the first set. Lourdes extended the run to 16-2 on the way to taking the early lead in the match.

In the second set, Michigan-Dearborn hung close, and had the stanza tied at 18 before Lourdes scored seven of the final eight points to pull away. The Gray Wolves hit a blistering .520 in the third, committing just two errors. A 7-1 run midway through put the match out of reach.

Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 34 assists in the match, including 13 in each of the final two sets while
Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) added 10 digs defensively.Â

The Gray Wolves held the Wolverines to just .080 hitting on the night. Shayla Smalls led Michigan-Dearborn (5-11, 1-5 WHAC) with nine kills while Megan Wright had a team-high seven digs.

Lourdes (11-0, 6-0) will host Northwestern Ohio on Friday evening. The match will be played at the Student Health and Athletic Center on the campus of Owens Community College with first serve set for 7 p.m.
