A goal with 8:12 remaining proved to be the match winner for Lawrence Tech on Saturday afternoon as the Blue Devils defeated Lourdes 3-2 at the LTU Athletic Field in Southfield, Mich.

"This match was like a lot of others we've played this year," head coach
Barry Spitzer said. "We played well, created chances, but made a mistake or two and they were able to capitalize on them."

The Gray Wolves jumped on the scoreboard just 2:18 into the match as
Judah Goodridge (Brooklyn, N.Y./Dutchtown H.S.) tallied his sixth goal of the year, after receiving a through ball from
Chuk Moses (Woodford Green, England/Rushcroft Foundation H.S.).

Lawrence Tech tied the game in the 18
th minutes on a goal by Nico Rbp, then took the lead at the 30:17 mark as Santiago Amigo scored unassisted.

Kevin Omore's (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Saint Jean Bosco and Farandole Internationale H.S.) seventh goal of the season, tied the match at two with just under 10 minutes to play before halftime as he went one-on-one.Â

The match would remain tied until the final minutes when Amigo notched his second tally of the day, with Skyler Russ grabbing the assist, to put Lawrence Tech (9-4-2, 5-3-2 WHAC) in front for good.

The Blue Devils held a slim 11-8 shot advantage, including a 6-4 edge on goal.Â
Jose Cedillo (Atlanta, Ga./Norcross H.S.) made three stops in goal for the Gray Wolves while Max Jewett had two saves for Lawrence Tech.

Lourdes (6-6-1, 1-6-1) will remain on the road Monday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Indiana Tech. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Warrior Field in Fort Wayne, Ind. in a make-up contest from an Oct. 1 postponement.
