th goal of the season on Wednesday, Lourdes dropped a 3-1 decision on the road to Madonna at the MU Soccer and Lacrosse Field in Livonia, Mich.

"I thought we played well," head coach
Barry Spitzer said afterwards. "We just did not put away the early chances that we created."

Madonna struck first as Yuri Farkas scored following a cross from Billy Werthman just 11:09 into the contest.

Kirchoff-Sleet knotted the match at one juts 1:05 before intermission, scoring from 10 yards out after receiving a cross from
Akilla Arno (Omaha, Neb./Northwest Magnet H.S.). For Arno it was his second helper of the season.

Madonna (9-1-1, 2-1-1 WHAC) retook the lead at the 68:42 mark in the second half as Nico Gonzalez knocked the ball loose in the box and scored from inside of the six. Farkas then added an insurance tally just over seven minutes later for his second goal of the match.

Madonna finished the match with a slight 18-15 shot advantage, but held a 13-5 edge in the shots that were on frame.Â
Jose Cedillo (Atlanta, Ga./Norcross H.S.) made 10 saves between the posts for the Gray Wolves while Marcel Schmid made four stops in the win for the Crusaders. Lourdes also finished with a 6-4 edge in corner kick opportunities.

Lourdes (5-2-1, 0-2-1) will return home on Saturday to begin a four-match homestand. Kickoff for Homecoming is set for 5 p.m.
