Marygrove scored three times in the final 15 minutes of the match to stun Lourdes, and hand the Gray Wolves a 3-2 setback on Homecoming evening at Wildcat Stadium.
"I thought we played well early," head coach
Barry Spitzer said afterwards. "But you have to play a full 90 minutes in this league every night. A disappointing final 15 minutes cost us the game."
Lourdes jumped in front just 12:30 into the match.
Kevin Omore (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Saint Jean Bosco and Farandole Internationale H.S.) headed a corner kick off of the crossbar, but was able to find his own rebound and beat goalkeeper Austin Valentine to put the Gray Wolves on top 1-0.

The match stayed that way until 14:43 remaining in the contest when Gonzalo Caceres knocked in a rebound after Curtis Tiapocket's shot hit the crossbar, cutting the Gray Wolf advantage in half.
After the two sides were both sent down to 10 players following red cards each way with just over 14 minutes to play in regulation, Mike Ayanwale tied the match converting another rebound from a Tiapocket shot with 7:21 to play.
Marygrove (5-5-2, 2-2-1 WHAC) tallied the match-winner with just 45 seconds to play. Mario Morana had a free kick at the top of the box that went through the Lourdes defense, and Vincent Umejiego pushed home the rebound.
The Mustangs outshot the Gray Wolves 19-15 for the match and held a 12-6 advantage in shots on goal. Marygrove also held an 8-4 edge in corner kick opportunities.
Jose Cedillo (Atlanta, Ga./Norcross H.S.) made nine saves for the Gray Wolves while Austin Valentine made four stops for the Mustangs.
A physical contest, a total of 33 fouls were called while seven yellow cards in addition to the two red cards were issued.
Lourdes (5-3-1, 0-3-1) will continue its four-match homestand on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Siena Heights. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
