After more than two weeks off from action, Lourdes returned to the mat on Tuesday evening, dropping a 36-9 decision to Baldwin Wallace in Urspring Gymnasium in Berea, Ohio.
 
"This was another tough road challenge for us," head coach Dock Kelly III said after the match.  "Baldwin Wallace is a well-coached team, and we knew that we would have a tough battle."
 
After suffering a forfeit defeat at 125 pounds, Tyler Roberts (Hudson, Mich./Hudson H.S.) registered a first period fall against Dante Ginnetti at 133, registering the win just 58 seconds into the contest to even the score.
 
Jacob Supina (Sandusky, Ohio/Saint Mary Central Catholic H.S.) dropped a narrow 5-2 decision at 141 before Garrett Carter (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Saint Vincent-Saint Mary H.S.) scored a 2-0 victory at 149 pounds.
 
"Both Tyler and Garrett wrestled quality opponents, so it was great to see them come out with wins," Kelly added.
 
Baldwin Wallace (4-2), ranked 19^th in NCAA Division II, took control of the contest beginning at 157 pounds.  The Yellow Jackets took the next four matches via a decision, fall, major decision, and technical fall, before earning a forfeit at 197 pounds.
 
In the 285 weight class, Colin McFarland (Carleton, Mich./Airport H.S.) had a tight match before suffering a 4-2 setback.
 
"We have a small window of time to regroup for our next match on Thursday, but we are looking forward to competing in front of Gray Wolf Nation.
 
Lourdes (0-7) will host Adrian on Thursday evening with the opening bout set for 7 p.m. at the Franciscan Center Gymnasium.
