Lourdes struggled offensively on Saturday afternoon, falling to seventh-ranked Davenport on Saturday afternoon 99-39 at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
The Gray Wolves shot just 21.1% from the floor and committed 27 turnovers, 21 of which came in the first half.
Lourdes led for the first 6:30 of the game, but a 13-2 run by the Panthers to close the opening period put Davenport in front for good, as the guests led 17-9 after 10 minutes. Davenport forced 13 turnovers in the second quarter, building 40-17 lead at the break after finishing on an 18-2 run over the final 5:18 of the stanza.
The Panthers outscored Lourdes 35-5 in the third, shooting 50% from the field while holding the Gray Wolves to just 2-of-21 shooting from the floor. Lourdes started the final period with an 8-2 run, but that would be as close as the Gray Wolves would get the rest of the way.
Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) led Lourdes with nine points while
Elayna Ackerman (Fremont, Ohio/Ross H.S.) added eight more. Ackerman and Fidler each grabbed a team-high seven rebounds as well, but the Gray Wolves were outrebounded 65-40 for the afternoon.
Ashley Cline led Davenport (12-1, 8-0 WHAC) with 16 points while Emily Severn added 15 points as all 14 Panthers found the scoring column. Jenna Falkenberg pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
Lourdes (4-11, 3-5) will remain home on Tuesday evening for its final game before the holiday break, hosting Carlow. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the Ebeid Rec Center.
