Zack Zsolcsak (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) and
Liam Bloom (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton H.S.) combined for a two-hit shutout in game two of Tuesday's doubleheader helping Lourdes earn a split with Grace at Miller Field in Winona Lake, Ind. The Lancers won the opener 10-2 before the Gray Wolves notched a 3-0 victory in game two.

Zsolcsak went five innings, allowing just two hits to earn the win (1-1). He walked four, but worked out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth to preserve the shutout. Bloom pitched the final two innings to earn his first collegiate save, walking just one of the final seven hitters he faced.

Lourdes provided all of its offense in the first two innings.Â
Glen Crabtree (Medina, Ohio/Black River H.S.) doubled home
Garrett Jex (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green H.S.) in the opening inning to start the scoring. A RBI single by
Adam Dolesh (Richmond, Ind./Seton Catholic H.S.) coupled with a throwing error allowed
Dallas Riggs (Prescott, Ariz./Paradise Valley H.S.) and
Zak Laubscher (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg H.S.) to score.

Kevin Suttles (Monroe, Mich./Monroe H.S.) had two hits in the contest as Lourdes tallied nine total hits in the game. Joe Dougherty suffered the loss (0-1) for Grace (15-11), allowing three runs and four hits in the first 1.1 innings.

Grace started quickly in the opening game, scoring four times in the first while adding a fifth run in the second inning. Lourdes scored its only two runs in the top of the third. Jex had a sacrifice fly while Crabtree added a run-scoring single.

The Lancers tallied four more runs in the fourth and added a single run in the sixth while compiling a 13-hit attack. Dolesh had two of Lourdes' eight hits in the contest, including a double.

Jason Stevens earned the win (1-2), allowing two runs and six hits in five innings.Â
Adam Hoyos (Oro Valley, Ariz./Canyon Del Oro H.S.) suffered the loss (0-1), giving up nine runs and 11 hits in four innings of work.

Lourdes (5-17) will continue its 10-game road trip on Wednesday, heading to Lima, Ohio to resume Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play. The doubleheader against Northwestern Ohio at Racer Field is set to begin at 2 p.m.
