Bill Laranga (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee H.S.) allowed just four hits while striking out three without a walk in five innings to earn the win (1-5), while
Liam Bloom (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton H.S.) and
Brandon Holt (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) each adding one scoreless inning to complete the shutout. Holt earned his second save of the year.

Lourdes scored a pair of runs in the opening inning and the pitching made them stand up.Â
George Pastor (Walled Lake, Mich./Central H.S) singled home
Zak Laubscher (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg H.S.), who walked to lead off the game, for the first run in game two.Â
Nick Toth (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson H.S.) reached on a RBI fielder's choice to plate
Glen Crabtree (Median, Ohio/Black River H.S.) with the other run after the freshman doubled with one out.

"Laranga pitched a great game and our early run support helped," head coach
Jeremy Snow said. "I thought we swung the bats well all day as well, but we only had four hits to show for it in game two after registering 10 in the opener."

Garrett Jex (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green H.S.) had Lourdes' other two hits in the nightcap, finishing the game 2-for-3 at the plate.

Kyle Kuhr went the distance for Siena Heights (12-15, 5-8 WHAC), suffering the loss (2-4).Â

Lourdes held an early lead in the opener before the Saints pounded out 21 hits while scoring all 17 runs over the final four innings.

Devin Stanley (Euclid, Ohio/Saint Edward H.S.) singled home
Alex Samson (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville H.S.) with the game's first run in the opening inning before Pastor plated Samson with a RBI hit in the third to make it 2-0 Gray Wolves.

Siena Heights batted around in both the fourth and fifth innings, sending 11 and 10 batters to the plate respectively to plate six runs in each inning to take control of the contest. The Saints added two more runs in the sixth before adding three more in the seventh.

Paul Avila (Nogales, Ariz./Canyon Del Oro H.S.) suffered the loss (1-5), surrendering six runs and nine hits in four innings on the hill. Justin McPherson tossed two innings of scoreless relief to earn the win (3-0) for the Saints.

Daniel Kruzel (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland H.S.) each had two hits in the opener for the Gray Wolves.

Lourdes (6-22, 1-9) will head to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Tuesday to make up a doubleheader against Aquinas that was postponed on April 3. First pitch of the twinbill is set for 1 p.m. at Kimble Stadium.
