Judah Goodridge (Brooklyn, N.Y./Dutchtown H.S.) scored twice and
Carlos Viganoni (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western H.S.) added a goal as Lourdes opened the 2016 season on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Grace Bible at Wildcat Stadium.
Â
"I'm very happy to win our first game," head coach
Barry Spitzer said. "We're able to see things coming together from preseason. Our incoming class has made an impact for us."

Â
Viganoni made it 2-0 Gray Wolves less than 20 minutes into the contest, taking a through ball from
Jake Kirchoff-Sleet (Tamworth, England/Queen Elizabeth Mercian H.S.) to notch his first goal of the year.
Â
Grace Bible (0-1) cut the Lourdes lead in half just over 10 minutes into the second half as Jorge Leon scored, but Goodridge added his second goal of the night with 20:49 remaining to secure the win. Kirchoff-Sleet handed out his second assist of the contest on Goodridge's marker.
Â
Lourdes outshot Grace Bible 19-7 for the match with Smith making seven saves for the Tigers.Â
Jose Cedillo (Atlanta, Ga./Norcross H.S.) and
Andre White (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Cornwall College each made one save for the Gray Wolves, splitting time in goal.
