Lourdes remained atop the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings on Saturday afternoon as the 11^th-ranked Gray Wolves swept Marygrove 25-7, 25-17, 25-11 at the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit, Mich.
 
The Gray Wolves have now won five straight matches and nine of their last 10 overall to improve to 5-0 in conference play.
 
"We are once again happy to come away with a road win against the other division," head coach Greg Reitz stated afterwards.  We had some strong performances today, especially Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) and Ave Stout (Huntertown, Ind./Bishop Luers H.S.)"
 
Comte led all players with 12 kills and hit .526 in the match while Stout went without an error for the second straight night, tallying 11 kills and hitting .688 for Lourdes.  As a team the Gray Wolves swung at a .395 clip as Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 28 assists.  Lourdes also had 12 service aces by seven different players.
 
Defensively, Kristin Murrell (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) tallied a team-high 12 digs while Stout blocked four Mustang shots.
 
Marygrove (3-5, 0-4 WHAC) was held to negative hitting at -.031 with just 12 kills, including only one in the opening set.  Hailey Brandes had a team-high seven kills while Amber Staudt recorded 10 digs.
 
Lourdes (9-3, 5-0) will return home for four of its next five matches beginning on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Cornerstone.  The opening serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
