Lourdes remained undefeated in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday evening, and the in process completed the season sweep of Aquinas, as the 12
th-ranked Gray Wolves defeated the Saints 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21 at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center in Grand Rapids, Mich.

"I'm not sure how we pulled that one out," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the victory. "We did not capitalize on many of our opportunities and had to battle. The good thing was we were able to battle and win the match."

Molly Shonk (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley H.S.) and
Stephanie Ruffing (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty H.S.) both registered double-doubles and Lourdes had three players tally double figure kill totals.

Shonk had a team-high 22 digs while adding 13 kills and hit .281 on the evening while Ruffing tallied 14 kills, sharing the team's top honor, and adding 19 digs defensively.Â
Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 41 assists and
Genessee Tate (West Covina, Calif./West Covina H.S.) also had 14 kills and was involved in five blocks.Â
Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) had a team-high seven blocks as Lourdes outblocked Aquinas 11-8 for the night.

Micaela Haze led Aquinas (9-6, 2-5 WHAC) with 19 kills and hit .283 while Katlyn Agren added 67 digs for the Saints.

Lourdes (12-3, 7-0) will return home to the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center on Friday evening to begin a three-match homestand. First serve against Indiana Tech is set for 7 p.m.
