Lawrence Tech shot 54% from the floor, including nearly 65% from inside the three-point arc, and defeated Lourdes 82-60 on Saturday afternoon at Ridler Field House in Southfield, Mich.

The Gray Wolves limited the Blue Devils to just 1-of-12 (8.3%) shooting from long range, but Lourdes was unable to stay with the hosts after the opening quarter.

Lourdes trailed just 16-14 after the opening 10 minutes, but Lawrence Tech extended the lead to 38-24 at intermission. The Blue Devils outscored the Gray Wolves by 11 in the third period to extend the lead to 25, and put the game out of reach.

Elayna Ackerman (Fremont, Ohio/Ross H.S.) led Lourdes with 14 points off of the bench while
Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) added 12 more as the only two Gray Wolves to tally double figures.Â
Payton Ramey (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas H.S.) and
Daja Whiteside (Auburn Hills, Mich./Avondale H.S.) added nine points each.

Lourdes shot 38.9% from the floor, including 7-of-19 (36.8%) from three-point range, but committed 17 turnovers on the day. The Gray Wolves were 11-of-12 from the free throw line.

Hayley Walkowski led Lawrence Tech (11-6, 7-3 WHAC) with 20 points off of the bench, making all nine of her shots from the floor. Nicole Buckingham added 16 points. The Blue Devils' bench accounted for 46 of the team's 82 points on the afternoon.

Lourdes (5-13, 3-7) will return home on Wednesday evening to close out the first half of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play as the Gray Wolves welcome Siena Heights to the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
