Lourdes began its four-match road trip on Saturday afternoon, suffering a 2-1 setback to Marygrove at the Marygrove Athletic Complex in Detroit, Mich.

"We started off slow today," head coach
Barry Spitzer said following the match. "We started play well as the match went along, but ran out of time."

Marygrove (6-5, 3-2 WHAC) scored first, just 10:52 into the match, as Gbenga Mike Ayanwale stole the ball in front of the net and scored his 12
th goal of the season.

The Mustangs took the 1-0 lead into intermission, holding a 9-7 shot advantage, including a 6-5 edge on net.

Lourdes tied the contest with 27:20 remaining as
Haggi Amirally (Kinshasa, Congo/Byron Nelson H.S.) sent a pass from the end line back to the middle of the box where
Judah Goodridge (Brooklyn, N.Y./Dutchtown H.S.) received the feed and found the back of the goal for his team-leading eighth goal of the contest.

Marygrove responded less than eight minutes later though, as Ben Noud found Curtis Tiapocket for what would turn out to be the match-winning goal.

The Mustangs finished the contest with a 17-12 shot advantage, including a 12-7 edge on frame. Marygrove also had the only six corner opportunities of the match, all coming in the final 45 minutes.Â
Jose Cedillo (Monterrey, Mexico/Norcross H.S.) made 10 saves for the Gray Wolves in goal while Gabriel Greenfield had six stops for Marygrove.

Lourdes (4-5-1, 2-3) remains on the road Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves travel to Adrian, Mich. to face Siena Heights. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at O'Laughlin Stadium.
