Lourdes held a halftime lead on Tuesday afternoon, but Concordia (Mich.) shot better than 57% from the floor in the second half on the way to defeating the Gray Wolves 81-61 inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

The Gray Wolves, on the contrary, connected at just a 17.6% clip over the final 20 minutes, making just six field goals, while shooting just 1-of-11 (9.1%) from three-point range.

The first half went back and forth with five ties and seven lead changes. After Concordia took a quick 15-9 lead, Lourdes responded with 13 of the next 15 points, capped by a three-point play from
Kadeim Jones (Dayton, Ohio/Marshall H.S.). The Cardinals responded, taking a lead of their own late in the stanza before
Clif Snow (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) scored the final five points of the stanza, capped by a three-pointer with 17 seconds to play, giving the Gray Wolves a 41-39 lead at the break.

The game was tied at 52 with 12:22 to play in the second half after a layup by
Hamish Abbott (Melbourne, Australia/Rowville Secondary) coming out of a timeout, but Concordia would answer with a 20-2 run over the next five minutes to pull away and secure the victory.

Snow led Lourdes with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the first double-double of the season by a Gray Wolf. He was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line in the effort. Jones added 17 points while
Malik Thurman (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins H.S.) chipped in 10 points.

Connor Phee led Concordia (4-4, 1-3 WHAC) with 28 points and 11 rebounds while Jalen Thompson added 19 points. Jared McDaniel tallied 11 points and handed out 10 assists for the Cardinals.

Lourdes (4-4, 0-3) will return to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves travel to South Bend, Ind. to face Indiana-South Bend. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. inside the Student Activities Center.
