Lourdes was tied with Rochester (Mich.) on the road with a minute to play on Thursday evening, but the Warriors scored the game's final six points to earn a 67-61 victory over the Gray Wolves inside of Garth Pleasant Arena in Rochester Hills, Mich.

After trailing by as many as 10 in the second half, Lourdes battled back to take the lead, 55-54, following a
Kadeim Jones (Dayton, Ohio/Marshall H.S.) jumper with just under six minutes to play. After Rochester rebuilt a four-point advantage, back-to-back baskets by
Jordan Fabry (Shalersville, Ohio/Crestwood H.S.) and
McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield Heights H.S.) tied the game at 61 with 2:43 to play.

The game remained tied heading into the final minute when Cap Wilson drained a three-pointer with less than a minute to play, putting Rochester in front. Lourdes missed on the subsequent possession, and the Warriors made three of four free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

"We are competing now," head coach
Josh Gibson said after the game. "The difference in losing these games and being able to win them is in the execution of details."

Lourdes started the contest quickly, scoring nine of the game's first 12 points, and eventually led by as many as nine, 25-16, with just under 12 minutes to play in the opening half. Rochester responded with a 12-2 run to take its first lead of the game at the 3:30 mark of the stanza, and also closed the half on a 5-0 spurt to take a 35-34 lead into the locker room.

Fabry led Lourdes with 17 points while
Malik Thurman (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins H.S.) added 11 points.Â
Clif Snow (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) chipped in 10 more for the Gray Wolves, as Lourdes shot 38.1% from the floor for the game and committed just 12 turnovers.

Kash Blackwell led Rochester (8-6, 5-2 WHAC) with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Wilson also tallied 16 points for the Warriors.Â

Lourdes (4-9, 0-7) will travel to Akron Wayne on Tuesday evening for a non-conference contest. Tip-off against the Warrors is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the Boyer Health & PE Center in Orrville, Ohio.
