Ninth-ranked Lourdes tallied 40 kills over three sets on Saturday morning on the way to its fourth straight victory, defeating Calumet 25-12, 25-18, 25-15 inside of the Rittenmeyer Center in Whiting, Ind.

Ryan Maune (Washington, Mo./Saint Francis Borgia H.S.) tallied 14 kills on just 17 swings to hit .765 while
Colby Magorien (Agoura Hills, Calif./Westlake H.S.) added 11 kills, swinging at a .588 clip.Â
Ian Fields (Phoenix, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor H.S.) handed out 27 assists.

"It was a solid match for us," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "We were able to change our lineup a bit and see some things that we haven't yet. We had a good ace-to-error ratio and played steady defense."

The Gray Wolves tallied five aces while missing just eight serves on the day. Lourdes also outdug Calumet 41-28, paced by 13 from
CJ Rilveria (Kula, Hawaii/Kekaulike H.S.).

Lourdes scored 12 of the first 13 points in the match to take control early. The Crimson Wave were within two, 18-16, in the second before the Gray Wolves scored seven of the final nine points. In the final set, Lourdes closed out the match with an 8-1 run.

Jose Gonzales led Calumet (0-8) with six kills and six digs while Liam Fagan had 16 assists and six digs.

Lourdes (7-3) will return home on Wednesday evening to entertain Lawrence Tech. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m. inside of the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
