Sixth-ranked Lourdes needed just 54 minutes on Saturday afternoon to earn its 15
th-win of the season, defeating Calumet College of Saint Joseph 25-13, 25-6, 25-15 at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

The Gray Wolves committed just three attack errors total in the first two sets, hitting .365 for the afternoon. After a slow start in the opening set, Lourdes closed the stanza on a 12-3 run. The Gray Wolves tallied 11 kills on just 19 swings, and committed just one miscue while hitting .526 for the set.

In the second,
Bryce Whitman (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek H.S.) served up a an 11-0 run as Lourdes built a 2-0 lead in the match. The Gray Wolves raced out to an 8-2 lead in the third on the way to completing the sweep.

Ryan Maune (Washington, Mo./Saint Francis Borgia H.S.) led the way with eight kills without an error, hitting .533 while
Brendan Brown (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny H.S.) and
Jaryn Kuhaulua-Feiteira (Waihe'e, Hawaii/Maui H.S.) had seven kills each. Whitman tallied six more kills for the Gray Wolves.

Ryan Ferkel (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly H.S.) handed out 20 assists in the two sets in which he played, surpassing the 2,000 mark for his career.

Defensively,
CJ Rilveria (Kula, Hawaii/Kekaulike H.S.) and
Grady O'Neil (Anthem, Ariz./Boulder Creek H.S.) each had a team-high seven digs.

"It was nice to see us get a lot of strong performances from guys who haven't seen much playing time this year," head coach
Greg Reitz said. "It shows that were are getting lots out of our training and are improving as a program."

Lourdes (15-7) will close out the regular season on Tuesday, March 28, as the Gray Wolves host UC Merced. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Ebeid Rec Center.
