Lourdes wrapped up its series with Indiana Wesleyan while also facing 24^th-ranked Reinhardt on Wednesday, dropping both contests.  The Gray Wolves fell to the Wildcats 16-2 at the Perfect Game Complex in Cartersville, Ga. before suffering a 6-3 setback to Reinhardt at Ken White Field in Waleska, Ga.
 
In the opener, Indiana Wesleyan (10-10) jumped in front early with a run in the third and four more in the fourth.  After the Wildcats increased the lead to 5-0 heading into the sixth, Lourdes broke through as Cameron Gallo's (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.) first collegiate hit was an RBI double, scoring Dallas Riggs (Prescott, Ariz./Paradise Valley H.S.).
 
Indiana Wesleyan added two more runs in the seventh, one in the eighth, and seven in the ninth to pull away.  Lourdes added a late run in the bottom of the ninth as Noah Hayes (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek H.S.) lofted a sacrifice fly to play Glen Crabtree (Medina, Ohio/Black River H.S.) with an unearned run.
 
Lourdes managed just three hits against the Wildcats, all against starter Nathan Campau who earned the win (1-0), tossing six innings of one-run baseball.  He struck out five and walked three.  Jeremy Zsolcsak (Brownstown, Mich./Roosevelt H.S.) suffered the loss (0-1), allowing five runs, four of which were earned, and eight hits in four innings.
 
Jorda Wharton and Brandon Shaffer each had three hits and four runs batted in as part of Indiana Wesleyan's 19-hit attack.
 
The Gray Wolves bounced back against Reinhardt (23-4), leading until the late innings.  A Riggs sacrifice fly scored Jay Denman (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) in the opening inning.
 
After the Eagles tied the game in the second, Denman gave Lourdes the lead in the fifth with his first collegiate home run to left.  Again Reinhardt tied the game in the bottom of the inning, but a RBI single by Noah Childress (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) put the Gray Wolves in front when he scored Crabtree.
 
Reinhardt battled back, scoring a pair of runs in the seventh and added two more in the eighth to avoid the upset.
 
"It was good to come back and battle after a tough loss in the first game of the day," head coach Jeremy Snow said afterwards.  "We played a complete game against a good Reinhardt team.
 
Connor Hawkins earned the win (1-0) for Reinhardt, tossing 2.2 innings of two-hit relief while Amael Gonzalez earned the save, retiring the final batter with two runners on base.  Zach Babb (Grand Rapids, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) suffered the loss, allowing two runs in two-thirds of an inning of relief.  Liam Bloom (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton H.S.) started for Lourdes, allowing just two runs and four hits in five innings of work.
 
"Liam pitched a good game, and kept us in it," Snow added.
 
Lourdes (4-12) will take Thursday off before heading to Madisonville, Tenn. for a doubleheader against Hiwassee on Friday.  First pitch in game one is set for noon at Tom Black Field.
