Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play continues for Lourdes University as the Gray Wolves face the two conference newcomers this week.  Lourdes travels to Madonna on Wednesday evening before hosting Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday night.

Head Coach Paul Sieben: In his fourth season on the Lourdes bench, Paul Sieben has a 13-42 (.236) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as a collegiate head coach.  He is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.  Sieben was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2016.

Series Notes: Lourdes and Madonna will be meeting in women's lacrosse for the first time ever on Wednesday.  The Gray Wolves hold a 1-0 series edge against Concordia (Mich.) after defeating the Cardinals earlier this season 16-5 in Ann Arbor, Mich. on March 25.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Fourth-ranked Indiana Tech built a 10-1 halftime lead on Wednesday evening on the way to defeating the Gray Wolves 17-4 in Fort Wayne, Ind.  Anna Marie Weber, Alyssa Long, Tiara Reed, and Anna Zofchak each had one goal for Lourdes while Kiley Ketteman made eight saves in goal.  On Saturday, Lourdes hung with third-ranked Davenport through the first half, but a 10-0 Panther run proved to be the difference as the Gray Wolves dropped a 19-8 decision at home.  Long led the Gray Wolves with four goals while Ketteman made 13 saves.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders are still looking for their first victory in program history after suffering a narrow 9-7 setback at Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday.  Emily Johnson leads Madonna with 11 goals on the season while Sarah Carlson has added seven more.  In goal, Stephanie Mackley has played every minute, and sports a 17.45 goals against average and a .410 save percentage.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals snapped a five-game losing skid on Saturday afternoon with a 9-7 win over Madonna at home.  Concordia travels to Siena Heights on Wednesday before visiting Lourdes.  Lauren Litogot leads Concordia with 12 goals on the season while Grace Stadler has added nine.  In goal, Samantha Shatrau has played a majority of the minutes, sporting a 17.94 goals against average and a .359 save percentage.

Looking for a Home Win: Lourdes has not scored a victory at Wildcat Stadium since March 19, 2016, a 10-4 win over Aquinas.  The Gray Wolves look to snap the five-game home skid on Saturday against Concordia.

Weather Causing Issues: Inclement weather has already forced two postponements for the Gray Wolves this season.  The March 15 contest against Madonna was postponed due to snow and cold temperatures and has been rescheduled for April 17 at 4 p.m.  Sunday's contest with Lawrence Tech was postponed during the second half due to thunderstorms and a make-up date has yet to be announced.

Long Adds to Scoring Total: Alyssa Long tallied five more goals last week to increase her team lead to 30 on the season.  Her total currently ranks fourth on the school's single season charts.  The junior has 126 career tallies, most in program history.

Tressel Sets Single Season Record: Mary Tressel has already collected 46 ground balls for the Gray Wolves this season.  Her 10 last week in the two games helped her surpass Hannah Cullis' 2016 record of 41 with eight games still remaining in the season.

Kellar Having Career Season: Shelby Kellar entered the 2017 season with five career goals and 10 total points through her first two seasons with the Gray Wolves.  This year the junior has already found the back of the cage 13 times and has 14 total points.

Captains Named: Lourdes has tri-captains this season.  Hannah Cullis, Lolo Garza, and Alyssa Long are serving as the leadership role.  Cullis and Long are two-time captains while Garza is in her first season in that role.

This and That: Anna Marie Weber tallied her fourth assist of the year against Davenport, tied with Alyssa Long for the team lead ... Kiley Ketteman is 10 saves shy of 300 for her career ... Hannah Cullis needs 14 ground balls for 100 in her career ... the Gray Wolves have scored three goals this season playing a player down due to penalty.
