Indiana Tech scored three runs to tie the game in the ninth before plating the winning run in the 10
th in game one and scored four in the eighth of game two to sweep a doubleheader from Lourdes 6-5 and 6-4 at Warrior Field in Fort Wayne, Ind.

"I thought we hit the ball really well, and actually outhit them for the day," head coach
Jeremy Snow said afterwards. "I was proud of how we came to play; unfortunately we just didn't quite get it done. The starting pitchers threw the ball extremely well. The difference in the games was the free runners we gave them on walks and errors that they took advantage of."

Lourdes struck first in game one, as
Jay Denman (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) doubled with two outs in the third and scored one batter later on a single by
Cole Cantelon (Langley, B.C./Brookswood Secondary H.S.). The Warriors responded in the bottom of the inning, plating two with two outs after loading the bases on a pair of walks and a hit batter.Â

Devin Stanley (Euclid, Ohio/Saint Edward H.S.) run-scoring groundout in the fifth tied the game and the Gray Wolves took the lead in the sixth on a two-out double by
Reilly Walters (Bowmanville, Ont./Bowmanville H.S.).Â

Lourdes maintained the 3-2 lead heading into the ninth, as
Zach Brown (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) worked seven innings on the hill, allowing just two hits and the two runs while striking out seven.

The Gray Wolves added to their lead in the ninth, as
Dan Johnson (Westland, Mich./Franklin H.S.) singled up the middle for his second hit of the game, scoring
George Pastor (Walled Lake, Mich./Walled Lake H.S.) and Walters.

Indiana Tech rallied in the bottom of the ninth, scoring three times in the frame while batting around. The Warriors took advantage of a pair of Lourdes errors, as all three runs were unearned. The Warriors won the game in the 10
th on a double by Ryan Meisenheimer with one out.

Denman, Cantelon, and Walters all had two hits in addition to Johnson in the opener as Lourdes outhit Indiana Tech 10-5. Chase Nistor earned the win (1-0) with two innings of scoreless relief for the Warriors while
Jeremy Zsolcsak (Brownstown, Mich./Roosevelt H.S.) suffered the loss (0-1).

Dallas Riggs (Prescott, Ariz./Bradshaw Mountain H.S.) doubled home Denman in the first and Walters plated Pastor with a single in the second. A base hit by Stanley with two outs in the fourth scored Pastor again, as Lourdes built a 3-0 lead.

Indiana Tech scored one run in the bottom of the fifth, but the Gray Wolves escaped a bases loaded, one out jam with no further damage. An unearned run crossed the plate in the seventh as the Warriors pulled within one.

A four-run eighth proved to be the difference, as Tighe Koehring's three-run home run with one-out gave Indiana Tech the lead.

The Gray Wolves battled in the ninth, scoring a run on a single by
Cameron Gallo (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.), but stranded the tying run on base.

Pastor had three hits while Denman and Gallo had two each as the Gray Wolves outhit Indiana Tech 11-8 in the nightcap.

Andrew Hammond earned the win (1-0) with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief for Indiana Tech while
Kyle Sacher (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.) suffered the loss (0-1).
