Lourdes shot just 29% from the floor on Wednesday evening, including 16.7% (3-of-16) from three-point range, and suffered an 85-58 setback to the University of Northwestern Ohio inside of the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

The Gray Wolves started strong offensively, making 9-of-18 field goals in the opening quarter, but managed to connect on just 11 more the rest of the contest.Â

The lead changed hands seven times in the opening 10 minutes, with the largest lead for either team being five, 7-2 Lourdes. The Racers scored just before the horn to take a 22-21 advantage, the final lead change of the game.

A 14-0 Northwestern Ohio run pushed the Racers' lead to 15 with 2:38 to play before halftime. Lourdes finished the stanza scoring the final six points with
LaTyrah Beasley's (Toledo, Ohio/Bowsher H.S.) layup just before the break pulling the Gray Wolves within 40-31 at the break.

Lourdes still trailed by just nine, 45-36, midway through the third when the Racers went on a 13-2 spurt in less than four minutes to open up a 20-point advantage, and the guests took a 58-40 lead into the final 10 minutes.

UNOH attempted just six field goals in the fourth quarter, making four, but made 18-of-22 from the free throw line to secure the victory.

Beasley led Lourdes with 19 points while
Sydney Miller (Huntsville, Ohio/Indian Lake H.S.) added 14 points and a team-high six rebounds.Â
Christiana Jefferson (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy) added 10 points and three assists for the Gray Wolves.

Danielle VanDyne led four Racers in double figures with 20 points while Emily Patton added 19 more, going 10-for-10 from the free throw line. Kierra Billingsley tallied a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as Northwestern Ohio (7-10, 3-5 WHAC) finished the night with a 49-32 rebounding advantage.
