Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his seventh season both on the Lourdes bench, and overall coaching men's volleyball, Greg Reitz has a 122-55 (.689) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  He has earned five conference Coach of the Year honors during his first six seasons at Lourdes.  He is the only head coach in program history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 7-0 all-time against Lawrence Tech in a series that dates back to Jan. 20, 2016.  The Gray Wolves have never dropped a set to the Blue Devils, including a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-16, 25-16) in Southfield, Mich. earlier this season on Jan. 31.  Lourdes won the only previous meeting inside the Ebeid Rec Center 3-0 on Feb. 15, 2017.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes posted a four-set victory on the road at Cincinnati Christian on Thursday evening, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.  Matheus Andrade posed 16 kills while Eric Ubior tallied 30 digs in the victory.  The Gray Wolves began the Campbellsville Invitational on Friday with a 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 15-13 victory over Robert Morris (Ill.).  Evan Gebert put down 18 kills in the win.  Lourdes followed with another five-set triumph on Friday, defeating Saint Andrews 25-14, 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 15-6.  Andrade registered 22 kills while hitting .366.  In the tournament finale on Saturday, Lourdes swept Judson 25-16, 26-24, 25-23.  Andrade had 18 kills and hit .483 in the sweep.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils have dropped three straight matches after falling in five sets 25-21, 20-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-11 to Adrian at home on Saturday evening.  Alejandro Gonzalez leads Lawrence Tech with 119 kills and 15 service aces while Gospel Sua has handed out 321 assists.  Joshua Eckert has recorded a team-high 98 digs while Jacob Weber has tallied 25 blocks.

Going the Distance: Lourdes played back-to-back five-set matches for the first time in program history on Friday, winning both against Robert Morris (Ill.) and Saint Andrews.  The Gray Wolves have now won three straight five-set matches, all during the last road trip.

Andrade Has Huge Week: Matheus Andrade entered last week with 36 total kills during the first nine matches of his career, but put down 67 in the four contests last week while hitting .341.  The freshman had a career-high 22 kills in the five-set victory over Saint Andrews.  In addition, Andrade tallied 41 digs after entering the week with 40 total on the year.  He registered a career-best 13 digs at Cincinnati Christian.

Gehrke Handing Out Helpers: Henrique Gehrke had a busy week setting for the Gray Wolves, dishing out 178 assists in the four matches.  He averaged 10.47 assists per set on the week while helping Lourdes offense connect at a .255 clip.  Gehrke, a freshman, had recorded just 139 total assists in the Gray Wolves' first nine contests of the year.

The Nation's Best: Lourdes currently leads the country in both total digs and digs per set this season.  The Gray Wolves have tallied 590 digs, an average of 11.80 per stanza.  Siena Heights is second averaging 11.7 per set while Robert Morris (Ill.) is second in total digs with 550.

Getting Defensive: Eric Ubior has begun to embrace the libero role for the Gray Wolves this year, serving in that position in all but one set this season.  The senior posted a career-high 30 digs in the victory at Cincinnati Christian, and has posted double figure totals in 10 of the 13 contests on the year.  Ubior now has 550 career digs.

Looking to Stay Perfect in Divisional Play: Lourdes looks to remain unbeated in the WHAC group of the Independent standings at the midway point with a victory over Lawrence Tech.  Two of the three Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference teams (Siena Heights, Lawrence Tech) will qualify for the Independent tournament, with the top team from the round-robin play hosting the postseason event.  The top two of the four Cal Pac/Golden State teams (Hope International, UC Merced, Benedictine-Mesa, Menlo) will also qualify for postseason play.

Also Among the Nation's Leaders: Lourdes is ninth among all NAIA men's volleyball programs tallying 11.38 assists per set while the Gray Wolves' .227 hitting percentage and 11.98 kills per stanza both rank 11th in the country.  Lourdes is 15th nationally recording 1.87 blocks per set.

Individual Leaders: Eric Ubior is fifth in NAIA men's volleyball recording 3.40 digs per set on the year.  Matt Mittry ranks 10th individually hitting at a .388 clip while Evan Gebert's 3.76 kills per set are 12th best nationally.  Brendan Brown ranks 14th in the nation averaging 0.93 blocks per set while Henrique Gehrke's 7.55 assists per stanza place him 21st in the country.

This and That: Evan Gebert has tallied double figures in kills in every match but one (Fort Wayne, 9) this season ... Gebert and Eric Ubior are the only Gray Wolves to appear in all 50 sets in 2018 ... following the current six-match homestand, Lourdes will have just two home matches remaining on the schedule.
