Upcoming in Gray Wolves Volleyball: After eight days off, Lourdes returns to the court on Thursday evening for a road match at Cincinnati Christian.  The Gray Wolves will then close out their nine-match road trip at the Campbellsville Invitational facing Robert Morris (Ill.) and Saint Andrews on Friday before battling Judson on Saturday.

Head Coach Greg Reitz: In his seventh season both on the Lourdes bench, and overall coaching men's volleyball, Greg Reitz has a 118-55 (.682) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  He has earned five conference Coach of the Year honors during his first six seasons at Lourdes.  He is the only head coach in program history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 6-0 all-time against Cincinnati Christian in a series that dates back to Jan. 17, 2014.  The Gray Wolves have swept all six contests, including the most recent meeting on March 16, 2016 at Tam-o-Shanter.  Lourdes is 3-0 against the Eagles in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Lourdes holds an 12-1 series edge against Robert Morris (Ill.) dating back to Jan. 28, 2012.  The Gray Wolves have won six straight meetings against the Eagles, including a 3-1 victory over the Robert Morris on Jan. 27 at the Judson Early Bird Tournament.  Lourdes will be meeting Saint Andrews and Judson for the first time ever in men's volleyball this weekend.
 
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes swept Lawrence Tech 25-19, 25-16, 25-16 on the road for the Gray Wolves' third consecutive victory.  Evan Gebert led Lourdes with 15 kills and hit .281 while Eric Ubior tallied 14 digs in the victory.

Scouting Cincinnati Christian: The Eagles have won six of their last seven matches overall after a five-set victory at Webber International on Saturday evening.  Cincinnati Christian faces Robert Morris (Ill.) on Thursday prior to facing the Gray Wolves.  Logan Webber leads the team with 115 kills while Michael Hiroskey has handed out 263 assists.  Shaun Kanoho is the team leader with 88 digs for Cincinnati Christian while Braden Shelley has tallied 26 blocks.  As a team the Eagles are swinging at a .247 clip.

Scouting Robert Morris (Ill.): The Eagles enter the weekend having won three straight matches after defeating Trinity Christian in four sets on Thursday night.  Robert Morris faces Cincinnati Christian on Thursday before facing Lourdes on Friday.   Colby Magorien leads Robert Morris with 107 kills and is hitting .291 while Bobby Ying has handed out 349 assists.  Timothy Carey has registered 114 digs while Scott Poppen has tallied 20 blocks.

Scouting Saint Andrews: The Knights snapped a two-game losing skid on Jan. 27 with a three-set victory at Milligan.  Saint Andrews will face Campbellsville on Friday before meeting Lourdes.  Robin Imar and Diego Hernandez lead the team with 28 kills each while Jackson Stark has handed out 81 assists.  Imar has a team-leading 24 digs and Sean Hale leads the team with seven blocks.

Scouting Judson: The Eagles enter the weekend having dropped two straight matches after falling in four sets to Saint Xavier on Tuesday night.  Judson faces Siena Heights on Friday before battling Lourdes Saturday morning.  Manny Andrade leads the Eagles with 92 kills while Ryan VanThyne has 172 assists.  Jake Lafata has recorded 93 digs while Brian Robinson leads the squad with 25 blocks.

A Straight Sets Victory: Lourdes earned its first three-set victory of the season at Lawrence Tech.  The Gray Wolves had only won the opening set of a match twice prior to the contest.  The victory was the first straight sets win for the Gray Wolves since a 3-0 sweep of Siena Heights on April 8, 2017 in the championship match of the NAIA Independent Group tournament, a span of 13 matches.

Mittry Efficient with His Swings: Matt Mittry, who is hitting .484 for the Gray Wolves this season, has hit better than .400 in six of the nine contests on the year for the Gray Wolves.  For his career at Lourdes, he is swinging at a .404 clip.

Among the Nation's Leaders: Lourdes ranks fifth as a team among all NAIA schools, averaging 10.85 digs per set this season.  The Gray Wolves also rank 10th in assists per set (10.94) and blocks per set (2.02) and are 11th in kills per set (11.64).

Individual Leaders: Matt Mittry ranks fourth in the NAIA hitting .484 on the season.  Mittry is also 11th nationally averaging 0.97 blocks per set while Eric Ubior ranks 12th in the country with 3.06 digs per stanza.  Ian Fields ranks 13th in the country with 8.85 assists per set and Evan Gebert's 3.76 kills per set rank him 14th nationally.

This and That: Evan Gebert has tallied double figures in kills in every match but one (Fort Wayne, 9) this season ... Ian Fields is seven assists shy of 500 for his career ... Eric Ubior is 19 digs away from 500 during his stay at Lourdes.
