In the Gray Wolves' final tune-up for the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships, Lourdes battled eighth-ranked Indiana Tech before falling 30-15 inside the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

"We knew coming into this match that this would be a very hostile environment," head coach
Dock Kelly III said after the match. "It was great to see several guys respond to the challenge and pick up some critical victories that will determine our seeding at the conference tournament and national qualifier next week."

Indiana Tech won each of the first four bouts to build a 16-0 lead after 149 pounds.Â
Flynn Hamilton (Tucker, Ga./Tucker H.S.) was edged in a 4-3 decision at 149 pounds that came down to the final period.

Ty Wilson (Puyallup, Wash./Rogers H.S.) put the Gray Wolves on the scoreboard with a fall in the opening period at the 2:57 mark in the 157-pound weight class. The fall for Wilson was his team-leading 10
th of the year, as he improved his overall record to 13-4.

The Warriors won three more contests, one by fall, another by technical fall, and the third, a narrow 5-3 decision at 184 pounds as
Noah Nuno (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga H.S.) kept his bout close.

Hunter Jacks (Gallipolis, Ohio/Gallia Academy) picked up a victory at 197, with a 5-2 decision before
Ben Ferguson (Casstown, Miami East H.S.) recorded his 15
th win of the year, pinning his opponent at 285 pounds with just three seconds remaining in his match.
