Lourdes rallied from an early 4-0 deficit with a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to defeat Lawrence Tech 7-5 on Sunday in the final game of a three-game series at Mercy Field.
Â
"I'm proud of the team for bouncing back after yesterday to salvage game three of the series," head coach J
eremy Snow said afterwards.
Â
Lawrence Tech scored three times in the opening inning, taking advantage of a walk, three stolen bases, and a wild pitch before adding another run in the second to build a 4-0 lead.

Â
The Blue Devils retook the lead in the third with a single, stolen base, and two wild pitches. The game remained a 5-4 contest into the seventh when Lourdes tied the game with an unearned run on a

Â
"Zach saved the day for us on the hill with six innings of scoreless relief to close out the game," Snow added. "Just as importantly, Suttles saved several runs behind the plate, especially early, which allowed us to have the chance to come back and win."
Â
Simon Lidwell suffered the loss (2-2) in relief for the Blue Devils.
Â
Lourdes (12-9, 4-5) returns to the road on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Lima, Ohio to face Ohio State-Lima. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m. at Biddle Field.
