Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: Lourdes wraps up the home portion of the 2018 regular season this week with a pair of WHAC games at Wildcat Stadium.  The Gray Wolves will entertain Madonna on Wednesday afternoon before hosting Aquinas on Saturday evening for Senior Night.

Head Coach Alyssa Shaver: In her first season on the Lourdes bench, Alyssa Shaver has a 7-4 (.636) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as well as a collegiate head coach.  She is just the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Madonna in a series that dates back to April 10, 2017.  The Gray Wolves won 21-4 last year in Livonia, Mich. and 19-4 at Wildcat Stadium.  Aquinas holds a 5-2 series edge against Lourdes dating back to March 22, 2014.  The Saints won the only meeting last year 14-6 in Grand Rapids, Mich.  Lourdes won the only previous game at Wildcat Stadium, 10-4, during the 2016 campaign.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes fell behind early 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon and was never able to rally, suffering a 19-4 setback to Walsh on the road.  Shelby Kellar scored two goals for the Gray Wolves in the loss while Kiley Ketteman made 13 saves.  Lourdes bounced back on Saturday with an 18-0 shutout victory at Concordia (Mich.).  Alyssa Long scored seven times while Tiara Reed and Hannah Cullis each added four goals for the Gray Wolves and Ashley Hunt handed out five assists.  Ketteman stopped all eight shots she faced in goal.

Scouting Madonna: The Crusaders have dropped five straight games after suffering a 21-6 setback at home to Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon.  Brittney Leist leads Madonna with 23 goals while Dana Haney and Valarie Patterson have added 12 and 11 goals respectively.  In goal, Marissa West has played every minutes, sporting a 12.41 goals against average and a .382 save percentage.

Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday afternoon with a 17-16 overtime loss at Siena Heights.  Aquinas travels to Bethel (Ind.) on Wednesday night before visiting Lourdes.  Lauren Sanford leads the Saints with 60 goals and 75 total points while Anna Curcuru has added 48 goals and a team-high 24 assists for 27 points.  McKenna Maltby has played a majority of the minutes in goal this year for Aquinas, sporting a 9.64 goals against average and a .452 save percentage.

Time Change: The season finale at Lawrence Tech on April 21 has been moved up one hour and will now begin at noon.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor five seniors on Saturday evening who will be playing in their final home regular season contest of their careers.  Hannah Cullis, Margaret Janiga, Shelby Kellar, Kiley Ketteman, and Alyssa Long will all be recognized for their contributions to the Gray Wolf program over the past four seasons.

Setting the School Record: With Lourdes' victory over Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday, the Gray Wolves won their seventh game of the season, breaking the program record for wins in a year.  The 2016 team won six games, finishing their campaign with a 6-10 overall mark.  Lourdes needs just two more victories to assure itself of finishing .500 for the first time ever.

The First Time: Lourdes registered its first shutout in history on Saturday against Concordia (Mich.) with the 18-0 victory.  The previous record for fewest goals allowed in a game was three set back on March 15 of this season in a 23-3 victory over Bethel (Ind.).

Long Continues to Reach Milestones: Alyssa Long surpassed the 250-point plateau for her career on Saturday afternoon with her seven-goal performance against Concordia (Mich.).  The Gray Wolf senior now has 210 career goals and 256 total points, most in program history.  She is also just four assists shy of 50 over her four years at Lourdes.

Among the Nation's Leaders: Alyssa Long ranks sixth in the NAIA averaging 6.45 points per game.  Her 4.64 goals per contest are also sixth best nationally.  Kiley Ketteman ranks 10th in the country tallying 9.45 saves per game.

This and That: Hannah Cullis has picked up a school-record 139 career ground balls ... Tiara Reed and Alyssa Long each have four career game-winning goals ... the Gray Wolves are outscoring the opposition 156-110 on the season.
