Upcoming in Gray Wolves Lacrosse: The 2018 regular season comes to a close this week, with Lourdes playing three key WHAC games against NAIA top-10 opponents. The Gray Wolves travel to #6 Siena Heights on Wednesday before hosting #9 Aquinas on Friday for Senior Day. The regular season concludes on Saturday with a trip to #3 Lawrence Tech.
Head Coach Alyssa Shaver: In her first season on the Lourdes bench,
Alyssa Shaver has a 8-4 (.667) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves and as well as a collegiate head coach. She is just the second head coach in Lourdes program's history.
Series Notes: Siena Heights is 7-1 all-time against Lourdes dating back to March 18, 2014. The Saints downed the Gray Wolves 12-11 at Wildcat Stadium and 15-14 in Adrian, Mich last year. Siena Heights is 4-1 against Lourdes all-time in Adrian. Aquinas holds a 5-2 series edge against Lourdes dating back to March 22, 2014. The Saints won the only meeting last year 14-6 in Grand Rapids, Mich. Lourdes won the only previous game at Wildcat Stadium, 10-4, during the 2016 campaign. Lawrence Tech has won all eight previous meetings against the Gray Wolves dating back to March 25, 2014. The Blue Devils were 17-5 victors at Wildcat Stadium last season while winning 14-4 in Southfield, Mich.
Wrapping Up Last Week: Lourdes went on 6-0 run to end the first half on the way to a 20-13 victory over Madonna at home on Wednesday night.
Tiara Reed scored eight times and added two assists while
Alyssa Long added seven goals.
Kiley Ketteman made nine saves in goal for the Gray Wolves.
Scouting Siena Heights: The Saints have won seven of their last eight games after winning 21-2 at Concordia (Mich.) Saturday. Marissa Cirino leads Siena Heights with 63 points and 24 assists while Jenna Sommerville has a team-high 48 goals. Lizzy Elliott has posted a 9.84 GAA and a .512 save percentage while Mariah Smyth has a 10.78 GAA and a .463 save mark as the two have split time.
Scouting Aquinas: The Saints enter the week having won eight of their last nine after winning at Bethel (Ind.) 24-21 last Wednesday. Aquinas hosts Concordia (Mich.) before visiting Lourdes. Lauren Sanford leads the Saints with 65 goals while Anna Curcuru has a team-high 29 assists and 82 points. McKenna Maltby sports a 9.64 goals against average and a .452 save percentage in goal.
Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils have dropped two of their last three games after falling 15-12 at Indiana Tech Saturday. Lawrence Tech hosts Madonna before Lourdes visits. Ashley Collins leads the Blue Devils with 77 points and 55 assists this season while Isabelle Vickers and Anna Gagnon have each scored 46 goals. Marie Klonowski sports an 8.89 goals against average and a .469 save percentage.
Thanks Seniors Take Two: Lourdes will honor five seniors on Friday afternoon who will be playing in their final home regular season contest of their careers.

Alyssa Long will all be recognized for their contributions to the Gray Wolf program over the past four seasons. Senior Day has been rescheduled after last weekend's game was postponed.
Setting the School Record: Lourdes has set a new single season record with eight victories this year, breaking the program record for wins in a year, previously held by the 2016 team which finished their campaign with a 6-10 overall mark. Lourdes has also assured itself of finishing .500 for the first time ever.
Career Records: Alyssa Long holds the Lourdes career records for goals (217), assists (47), points (264), shots (442), games played (58), games started (57), and draw controls (109) heading into the final week of the season.
Hannah Cullis holds the school mark with 144 career ground balls, while
Tiara Reed's five game-winning goals are most in program history.
Kiley Ketteman holds the school mark with 458 career saves, a .412 save percentage, and a 12.62 goals against average along with 20 wins.
This and That: Lourdes 176 goals this year sets a new single season mark ... 11 different Gray Wolves have tallied at least one point this year ... Lourdes is 8-0 this season when outshooting their opponents.
