Lourdes returned to Siena Heights on Thursday to finish a suspended game and play an additional non-conference game, and the Gray Wolves dropped both contests to the Saints by scores of 6-5 in 10 innings and 11-9 at the SHU Baseball Diamond in Adrian, Mich.

With the suspended game tied at four heading into the 10
th, Lourdes struck first. With two outs,
Michael Davis (Whittier, Calif./California H.S.) delivered a pinch-hit single and scored on
Jay Denman's (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) RBI double.

The Saints responded in the bottom of the inning, taking advantage of a lead-off double and a walk. Brendan Baker then doubled to tie the game and Deric Cain hit a game-winning sacrifice fly.

Denman finished the game 4-for-6 for the Gray Wolves as Lourdes had nine hits in the contest.

Michael Jones earned the win (2-0), tossing the final six innings of relief while
Matt York (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) suffered the loss (2-3), pitching the 10
th inning.

In the non-conference game which followed, Lourdes scored a pair of runs in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly by
Cameron Gallo (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.) and a single by
Glen Crabtree (Medina, Ohio/Black River H.S.).

After the Saints tied the game in the bottom of the first, Lourdes erupted for six runs in the second.Â
Cole Cantelon (Langley, B.C./Brookswood Secondary H.S.) had a run-scoring hit while
Devin Stanley (Euclid, Ohio/Saint Edward H.S.) added a sacrifice fly. A double play ball plated the third run and Gallo's double made it 6-2 Gray Wolves.

Siena Heights (17-25, 8-13 WHAC) scored a run in the second and three more in the third to tie the game before plating five unearned runs in the fourth to take an 11-6 lead.

Lourdes scored an unearned run in the top of the fifth and added two more runs on a Denman single in the sixth, but was unable to complete the comeback.

Alec Thacker (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) led the way with three hits for Lourdes, as the Gray Wolves finished with 12 on the night.

Lourdes (16-19, 7-14) will return to the diamond on Friday, completing yet another suspended game at Concordia (Mich.). The game will resume at 2 p.m. headed to the 10
th inning tied 8-8. The Gray Wolves and Cardinals will then play a non-conference game.
