Final Results
Lourdes sent its first class of seniors in program history off in style on Thursday evening, as the Gray Wolves scored a convincing 29-17 upset of second-ranked Indiana Tech inside the Franciscan Center Gymnasium.

They Gray Wolves started fast, winning the first three bouts, registered four pins on the evening, and notched their first dual victory ever against a NAIA ranked foe, avenging a 40-6 loss to the Warriors back on Dec. 8.

"This was an incredible win for our program tonight," head coach
Dock Kelly III said afterwards. "Indiana Tech is ranked second in the nation for a reason, so I must give them a ton of credit for the way that they competed until the end. Our team has been working hard despite the challenges with the weather this week, and all of the hard work clearly plaid dividends tonight. I'm so proud of my guys!"

Lourdes took control of the match early.Â
Ray Porter (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville H.S.) raced out to a 10-2 lead after the opening period at 125 pounds, and closed out the match late in the second with a four-point near fall to score a 17-2 victory.

Senior
Tyler Roberts (Hudson, Mich./Hudson H.S.) followed, closing his home career with a fall at the 2:15 mark of the first period.

Nick Henneman (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.), ranked 10
th nationally at 141 pounds, trailed after the first period against fifth-ranked Gaige Torres, before flipping the tables and registering a pin of his own with 10 seconds remaining in the second to increase the Gray Wolves' lead to 17-0.

Indiana Tech (8-4) won each of the next four bouts, but Lourdes kept them all close, falling by decisions in each one to maintain the lead 17-12. The Warriors had three ranked grapplers pick up victories at 149, 157, and 174 pounds.

Noah Clary (Upper Sandusky, Ohio/Upper Sandusky H.S.) stemmed the visitor's momentum at 184 pounds, notching yet another opening period fall. The 16
th-ranked wrestler ended his match at the 2:04 mark, pushing the Lourdes advantage to 23-12 with two bouts remaining.

The Warriors earned a tech fall victory at 197 before
Alec Moore-Nash (Price Hill, Ohio/Elder H.S.) capped the match with one final fall for the Gray Wolves. The freshman, ranked 17
th nationally, trailed after the opening period before scoring his fall at the 4:29 mark for his team-leading 14
th triumph of the year.

Prior to the match, Lourdes honored Roberts,
Danny Kruzel (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland H.S.), and
Jacob Supina (Sandusky, Ohio/Saint Mary Central Catholic H.S.) for their contributions to the program over the last three years. The trio makes up the first senior class in the wrestling program's history.

"We are building something special here in Sylvania, and I'm super excited about the future of the program," Kelly added afterwards. "We will enjoy this win tonight, and then we will prepare the guys for battle on Saturday."

Lourdes returns to the mat on Saturday as the Gray Wolves head to Berea, Ohio to participate in the Summa Invitational, hosted by Baldwin Wallace. The event begins at 10 a.m. inside of Urspring Gymnasium.
