For the second time in a week, Lourdes faced a NAIA top-25 foe, but was unable to come away with a victory, as the Gray Wolves fell to 24
th-ranked Madonna 2-0 at the Madonna Athletic Complex in Livonia, Mich.

The match was scoreless nearly the entire first half before the Crusaders scored with just 3:52 to play before intermission. Bruno Castro sent a corner kick to the near post and Carlos Martinez headed the ball to the far post to put Madonna in front 1-0 at the break.

Rodrigo de Siqueira added an insurance goal for Madonna with 21:07 remaining in the second half, off a feed from Frederick Berbom to increase the lead.

Madonna (10-2-2, 7-1 WHAC) outshot Lourdes 14-3 for the match, including 8-1 on net.Â
Ali Chokr (Bint Jbail, Lebanon/Fontainebleau [La.] H.S.) made five saves in goal for the Gray Wolves while Joe Smith stopped the only shot he faced for the Crusaders.

Lourdes had six corner kick opportunities, all in the first half, while Madonna ended the match with seven.

Lourdes (5-10, 3-5) will return home to Wildcat Stadium for the final three matches of the regular season, beginning Saturday evening as the Gray Wolves host Lawrence Tech. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
