Playing in a driving rainstorm throughout the evening, Lawrence Tech scored the lone goal of the match with 6:27 remaining in the second overtime to defeat Lourdes 1-0 at Wildcat Stadium.
 
The Blue Devils controlled the possession for most of the opening 45 minutes, holding a 7-1 edge in shots, but neither team could find the back of the net in the first half.  Play evened out in the second half, with Lawrence Tech edging the Gray Wolves in shots 5-3, but the match remained scoreless heading into extra time.
 
Lourdes played the extra session down a man following a red card with 10 seconds remaining in regulation, but the defense held in the first 10 minutes.  3:33 into the second overtime, Kevin Wright received a cross from Juan Jaramillo on the far side and slid the ball back into the left side of the goal for the match-winner.
 
Ali Chokr (Bint Jbail, Lebanon/Fountainebleau [H.S.]) made six saves to keep the Gray Wolves in the match while Max Jewett made two stops to earn the shutout for Lawrence Tech (6-9, 5-4 WHAC).
 
The Blue Devils finished with a 15-4 shot advantage over Lourdes, and had an 8-1 edge in corner opportunities.
 
Lourdes (5-11, 3-6) will continue its final homestand of the regular season on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Madonna.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
