Playing a second consecutive NAIA nationally-ranked opponent, Lourdes dropped a 74-51 decision to fourth-ranked Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon inside the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
 
The Warriors took control in the opening quarter, scoring the final 17 points of the period to build a 19-4 lead after 10 minutes.
 
Back-to-back three-pointers by 
Erica Cary (Central City, Ky./Muhlenberg County H.S.) and 
Logan Ingram (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Mount Pleasant H.S.) pulled the Gray Wolves to within nine early in the second quarter, and was still within 31-22 before Indiana Tech scored the final four points of the half to take a 13-point lead into the locker room.
 
A 9-0 run by Indiana Tech to start the third broke the game open and the Gray Wolves were not able to get closer than 19 points the rest of the way.
 
Ingram came off the bench to lead Lourdes in scoring, tallying 14 points in just 16 minutes of action. 
Sara Semler (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) added 12 points for the Gray Wolves, making 5-of-5 from the floor.  
Sirena Pitts (Orlando, Fla./Ocoee H.S.) also tallied seven points off the bench.
 
Lourdes shot 31.6% from the floor, but made 8-of-18 (44.4%) three-pointers in the loss.
 
"There were some bright spots today and some young ladies that stepped up," head coach 
John Kenger said afterwards.  "We have to keep working hard."
 
Alexis Hill led Indiana Tech (4-1, 1-0 WHAC) with 20 points while DeAnn Kauffman added 14 more.  The Warriors connected at a 52.5% clip for the day.  Indiana Tech also held a 44-27 rebounding advantage.
 
Lourdes (1-6, 0-2) will return home on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves host Madonna.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
