Clif Snow (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) surpassed the 1,000-point plateau on Tuesday evening with a game-high 25 points and Lourdes notched its second NAIA top-25 victory of the season as the Gray Wolves upset 12th-ranked Cornerstone 71-59 inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

Snow's three-pointer as the shot clock expired with just under 13 minutes to play in the first half gave Lourdes a 16-14 lead, jump-starting a 13-0 run that put the Gray Wolves in front for good.  The junior is just the second Gray Wolf in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark, and now has 1,018 in his third season at Lourdes.

"That is quite an honor for Clif with another season to go," head coach Dennis Hopson said following the game.  "It shows the work he has put in developing his craft."

The run allowed Lourdes to build a 12-point lead, but the Golden Eagles responded.  A 12-2 spurt by Cornerstone pulled the visitors to within one, 33-32, with under a minute to play before intermission before Snow scored the final basket of the period to give the Gray Wolves a three-point advantage at the break.

Lourdes scored the first seven points out of the locker room to extend the lead back to double figures, but the Golden Eagles responded again, cutting the advantage to two, 45-43, with 14 minutes to play.  A three-pointer by Deuce Martin (Lorain, Ohio/Clearview H.S.) with just under 10 minutes remaining started another 7-0 Gray Wolf run, and Lourdes would not allow the Golden Eagles to get closer than seven the rest of the way.

"We did a great job as a team tonight defensively," Hopson added.  "We took Cornerstone out of their comfort zone by harassing the ball and providing good help defense.  Everyone was locked in."

The win is the first for Lourdes against Cornerstone since Feb. 22, 2012, a span of 15 games, and just the second all-time against the Golden Eagles.  It also marks the first time the Gray Wolves have won multiple games against ranked opponents in the same season since the 2013-2014 campaign.

Lourdes shot 47.9% from the floor and made 16-of-20 (80%) from the free throw line in the victory.  Little Anderson (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) contributed 14 points while Kenny Coleman (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) and McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield Heights H.S.) added nine points each.

Snow also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to complete his double-double while handing out four assists.  The Gray Wolves outrebounded the Golden Eagles 38-30.

Tyler Baker led Cornerstone (7-3, 3-1 WHAC) with 15 points while Christian Rodriguez added 14 more.

Lourdes (5-3, 3-1) will step out of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play this weekend, as the Gray Wolves take part in the NAIA DII Classic "The Show" in Kingsport, Tenn.  Lourdes will battle Union (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon beginning at 4:15 p.m. on day one of the event held inside the Meadowview Marriott Resort & Convention Center.
