Lourdes had its highest offensive output of the season on Tuesday evening, as the Gray Wolves defeated Cornerstone 80-65 inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

The Gray Wolves had three players finish in double figures, led by
Mirandia Green's (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) 19 points, the most by a Lourdes player this season.Â
Sara Semler (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) added 17 points and handed out seven assists while playing all 40 minutes and
Baylee Baldwin (Ottawa Lake, Mich./Whiteford H.S.) chipped in 16 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

"Tonight was a great team win," head coach
John Kenger said afterwards. "We took care of the ball and were aggressive offensively."

After a back-and-forth opening period in which Lourdes led by one, the Gray Wolves took the lead for good in the second stanza. A Green three-pointer put Lourdes on top 17-15. Cornerstone would tie the game four times in the quarter, but five straight points in the final two minutes by
Riley Raburn (Horton, Mich./Lumen Christi H.S.) allowed the Gray Wolves to take a 35-30 lead into the locker room.

Six straight points by Lourdes midway through the third pushed the advantage to 12, 47-35, before Cornerstone made one final spurt, cutting its deficit to four with 2:23 to play in the corner.

Again the Gray Wolves closed the stanza with five straight points, taking a 52-43 lead into the final period. A 7-0 run early in the fourth pushed the lead to double digits, 61-47, and Lourdes closed out its second home Wolverine-Conference victory of the season.

Lourdes shot 51.9% from the floor and committed just 10 turnovers in the win while forcing Cornerstone into 15 miscues. The Gray Wolves also held a 31-27 advantage on the glass.

Rebekah Crosby led Cornerstone (1-10, 0-4 WHAC) with 14 points while Shelby Nyboer added 13 more.

Lourdes (3-7, 2-3) will have eight days off before returning to action on Dec. 4 when the Gray Wolves travel to Michigan-Dearborn. Â Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. inside the UMD Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Mich.
