The Lourdes women's lacrosse team had four athletes record a hat trick as the Gray Wolves picked up a 20-12 victory over Columbia (S.C.) on Friday afternoon.

Columbia got on the board quick, scoring its first goal of the contest just over a minute into the matchup.
Ashley Hunt (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) brought Lourdes even with the Koalas (2-5 overall) just minutes later.
Columbia once again took the lead after scoring the next goal, but Lourdes would score seven straight goals, led by two goals from
Anna Zofchak (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) to take a commanding 8-2 lead with 11:12 left in the first half.
After the Koalas ended the Gray Wolf run,
Hannah Merrick (South Lyon, Mich./East) and
Brianna Nantz (Brighton, Mich./Brighton) scored two of the final three goals of the half to put Lourdes ahead 10-4 at the intermission.
After scoring the opening two goals of the second half to push the lead to 12-4, Lourdes ceded four straight goals to the hosts as its lead fell to 12-8 with 16:20 left in the game.
Bella D'Arcy (Hartland, Mich./Hartland) ensured the Gray Wolves held on to the lead as she scored three straight goals for Lourdes, completing her hat trick and helping Lourdes gain a 15-8 lead.
Merrick and Zofchak would follow D'Arcy up with a pair of goals to push the lead to 17-8. Columbia answered with three straight goals, but Nantz and Zofchak scored back-to-back goals to help Lourdes seal the 20-12 victory.
D'Arcy, Hunt, Zofchak and Merrick all recorded hat tricks for the Gray Wolves.
Tiara Reed (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne) and
Jacque Pappadakes (Rocky River, Ohio/Rocky River) led the way for Lourdes with five ground balls each. Pappadakes earned the victory in the net, stopping seven shots in the contest.
Lourdes (3-5 overall) return to action on Sunday when they take on No. 1-ranked Scad-Savannah at 11 a.m.
