The Lourdes university baseball team dropped both ends of a twinbill against No. 21-ranked Indiana Tech at Mercy Field in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Indiana Tech (28-14, 12-4 WHAC) got off to a fast start, scoring on a leadoff homerun in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead in game one.

Lourdes would answer in the bottom half of the first frame as
Michael Davis (Whittier, Calif./Whittier) scored from second base on an infield single from
Cameron Gallo (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick), knotting the game at 1-1.

Following a scoreless second inning, the Warriors scored two runs in the top half of the third inning to take a 3-1 lead. Lourdes answered in the bottom half of the inning as Gallo doubled to the left center fence to score a run and cut the lead to 3-2.

Indiana Tech would stretch its lead to 6-2 following a three-run fifth inning. The Warriors would then add a pair of runs in the eighth inning, pushing the lead to 8-2.

Lourdes made one last attempt to rally in the ninth inning as
George Pastor (Walled Lake, Mich./Central) scored following a fielder's choice from the defense to cut the lead to 8-3. The Gray Wolves couldn't get any closer as Indiana Tech held on for the 8-3 victory.

Gallo went 3-for-3 at the plate and had a pair of RBI to lead to Gray Wolf offense. Davis and
Austin Oulds (Chatham, Ont./Chatham Kent) each added a pair of hits.

Joey Oehlers (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford) led the effort on the mound for Lourdes, striking out four batters in four innings of work.
The hosts were able to hold the Warrior offense at bay for the majority of the second contest, as Indiana Tech held a slim 3-0 lead heading into the sixth inning.

The Warriors exploded for nine runs over the next two innings to complete the 12-0 victory.

Lourdes (14-21, 8-10 WHAC) returns to action on Saturday afternoon as it hosts Madonna in a twinbill and celebrates Senior Day with the first pitch of game one set for 1 p.m.
