The Lourdes baseball team suffered its first two losses of the 2020 season on Friday, as the Gray Wolves dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Georgetown (Ky.) 10-0 and 7-3 at Robert N. Wilson Field in Georgetown, Ky.

The Tigers started quickly in the opener, plating six runs in the opening inning as Ryan Gaynor hit a grand slam and Nick Giambalvo added a two-run homer in the inning.

Georgetown added three more runs in the second, including two on a double, and added a final run in the third.

Deion Kurtz (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria Catholic H.S.) came out of the bullpen in the third, silencing the Tiger bats, allowing just three hits in the final 3.2 innings, but the Lourdes bats were not able to come alive.

Isaac Olson struck out seven Gray Wolves in six innings of work to earn the win (3-1), scattering just three hits, while Lourdes managed one more in the seventh.Â
Braxton McKart (Monroe, Mich./Monroe H.S.) suffered the loss (1-1), allowing the 10 runs on seven hits while walking four in 2.1 innings of work.

Lourdes struck first in game two, scoring three times in the top of the second, all of which were unearned. An error plated the first run before
Harrison Jackson (Millbury, Ohio/Lake H.S.) added a RBI single.Â
Cameron Gallo (Mason, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick H.S.) followed with a run-scoring double, making it 3-0 Gray Wolves.

Georgetown scored one in the fourth and tied the game in the fifth with a pair of runs. In the bottom of the sixth, the Tigers broke through with four more runs to pull in front for good.

Jay Denman (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis de Sales H.S.) had the only multi-hit game of the day for Lourdes with two hits in the nightcap as the Gray Wolves tallied five total.

Keon Taylor earned the win (2-2) in relief for the Tigers with two innings of scoreless relief while
Travis Thompson (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush H.S.) suffered the loss (0-1), pitching the sixth inning.Â
Kolby Rogge (Holland, Ohio/Springfield H.S.) started and worked five innings, allowing three runs on five hits.

Lourdes (4-2) and Georgetown (8-6) will close out their four-game weekend series on Saturday with another twinbill. First pitch in game one is set for noon at Robert N. Wilson Field.
