Lourdes Cheer Opens Season with Two Dual Wins over Point Park

Meet 1 Results
Meet 2 Results

Lourdes opened its 2021 competitive cheer season on Sunday evening, winning a pair of dual meets against Point Park in an event that was held virtually.

Both schools competed in their own home gyms, with the judges also at home, and streamed their competition routines for the virtual meet.

Lourdes downed the Pioneers 85.8-75.95 in the first competition before winning the second meet 83.6-72.85.

"This was a really strong start to the season," head coach Chelsea Leis said afterwards.  "We only had a few minor issues with building skills hitting both routines.  I am proud of how we competed, especially for our first virtual competition."

The Gray Wolves have just 0.25 points worth of deductions in each routine.

"We will look to continue to clean things up for the big OCU Invite."

Lourdes will return to action on February 12, competing in the Oklahoma City Virtual Invitational. The Gray Wolves are tentatively scheduled to compete around 8:20 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. EST.
