Lourdes pulled within three points heading into the fourth quarter on Wednesday evening, but Lawrence Tech led wire-to-wire on the way to a 68-60 victory over the Gray Wolves inside the Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, Mich.

Lawrence Tech jumped out to an early 15-4 lead eight minutes into the game. The Gray Wolves made a run early in the second period, scoring the first eight points of the frame, to pull within one, 17-16. The Blue Devils then held Lourdes scoreless for more than five minutes, pushing the lead back to eight before eventually taking a 26-20 lead into the locker room.

Lourdes shot just 27.8% from the floor in the first 20 minutes, including 0-for-8 from three-point range. The Gray Wolves forced 10 first half turnovers though to remain close.

The Blue Devils pushed the lead to as many as seven in the third before Lourdes made a late run, closing to within three, 46-43, heading to the final stanza. Lawrence Tech scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter to open up a 54-43 lead, and the Gray Wolves were unable to get any closer than six the rest of the way.

Gabby Stover (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington H.S.) led Lourdes with 13 points and nine rebounds while
Logan Ingram (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Mount Pleasant H.S.) added 11 points off the bench.Â
Shallyn Miley (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan H.S.) also finished in double figures, tallying 10 points for the Gray Wolves.

Lourdes finished the game shooting 33.3% from the floor, but the Gray Wolves were just 2-of-17 (11.8%) from long range.

Kendall Fisher led Lawrence Tech (7-6, 4-2 WHAC) with 20 points while Julia Huey added 17 more. The Blue Devils shot 41.7% from the field, including 37.5% (9-of-24) from three-point range, to offset 20 turnovers.

Lourdes (3-7, 0-5) will have 10 days off for final exams before returning to the hardwood on Saturday, Dec. 11, when the Gray Wolves host Cornerstone. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
