Lourdes began its final three-game road trip of the season on Wednesday evening, suffering a 73-62 loss to Cornerstone inside of Mol Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
 
The Gray Wolves had four players score in double figures, led by Mary Liedel's (Erie, Mich./Mason H.S.) 13 points.  Kailani Broyles (Massillion, Ohio/Washington H.S.) added 12 points while Erica Cary (Central City, Ky./Muhlenberg County H.S.) and Gabby Stover (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington H.S.) each tallied 10 points.
 
Lourdes led the entire opening period, pushing its advantage to as many as six, 16-10, before settling for a three-point edge after 10 minutes.  The Gray Wolves lead grew to eight, 27-19, midway through the second quarter but Cornerstone closed the half on a 13-4 run to take a one-point lead into the locker room.
 
The Gray Wolves were never able to retake the lead in the second half.  The Golden Eagles shot better than 50% over the final 20 minutes, extending its lead to as many as nine in the third.  Trailing by 10 in the early moments of the fourth, Lourdes battled back, pulling to within two, 60-58, with under four minutes to play.  Cornerstone would close the game on a 13-4 run though to secure the win.
 
Shelby Nyboer led Cornerstone (7-11, 4-6 WHAC) with 25 points as the Golden Eagles shot 47.5% from the floor on the night.  Lourdes managed to connect at just a 37.7% rate for the game.
 
Lourdes (4-10, 3-7) will remain on the road Sunday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves travel to Fort Wayne, Ind. to battle Indiana Tech.  Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. inside the Schaefer Center.
