Lourdes turned in a pair of second place finishes on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves competed at the Saint Francis (Ind.) Invitational inside the Hutzell Athletic Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
 
"Overall, it was a good showing for us," head coach Chelsea Leis said afterwards.  "I was really proud of how we placed against some really solid teams."
 
In the first competition in a field of six schools, Lourdes posted a score of 82.78, edging out third place Marian by 0.33 points.  Indiana Wesleyan won the title with a score of 86.15.  The Gray Wolves had 0.25 points worth of deductions in the opener.
 
In meet two with just five schools, Lourdes again finished second, posting a mark of 82.28.  The Gray Wolves were 0.1 points in front of Marian.  Indiana Wesleyan again won the meet with a score of 86.70.  In meet two Lourdes had 1.0 points worth of deductions.
 
"We will work hard to clean up the mistakes we made as get closer to the WHAC Championships," Leis concluded.
 
Lourdes will return home to the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center for the final time on Tuesday evening, hosting Siena Heights in dual meet action.  The first performance begins at 6 p.m. inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
