"I do not have words for how proud I am of this team," head coach
Chelsea Leis said afterwards. "They performed two flawless, zero deduction routines tonight with more passion and fight than I could have hoped for. They held their own as an all-girl team and competed a routine packed with difficulty.  While the results were not as we had hoped, we can certainly hold our heads high knowing we left it all on the mat tonight."
Â
Lourdes posted a score of 87.30 in the preliminary round which accounted for 25% of the overall total. The Gray Wolves were the only team in the competition without a deduction in the preliminary round.
Â
In the finals, which accounted for the other 75% of the overall score, Lourdes posted a total of 87.07, again void of deductions.
Â
The Gray Wolves will now await the announcement of the NAIA National Championship field to find out if they will earn an at-large bid to the event.
