Lourdes returned to the hardwood for the first time in a week on Wednesday evening, suffering a 90-65 setback to Siena Heights inside the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

The Gray Wolves fell victim to a Saints squad that shot 50% from the floor, including 11-of-19 (57.9%) from three-point range. Siena Heights was also 19-of-20 (95%) from the free throw line.

Lourdes, on the other hand, was limited to 37.7% shooting, and made 7-of-30 (23.3%) from beyond the arc.

Siena Heights led wire-to-wire, jumping out to a quick 10-2 lead. The Saints led by nine after the opening 10 minutes and used an 11-1 run late in the second quarter to build a 48-29 lead at halftime.

The Gray Wolves tried to battle back in the second half, closing the third period on a 9-2 run to pull within 13, 63-50. Siena Heights answered with the first five points of the final stanza and Lourdes was not able to get any closer the rest of the way.

Gabby Stover (Lexington, Ohio/Lexington H.S.) led Lourdes with a double-double off the bench, scoring 15 points while grabbing 11 rebounds.Â
Shae Pedroza (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon H.S.) and
Kailani Broyles (Massillon, Ohio/Washington H.S.) each added 11 points for the Gray Wolves.

Kelsey Wyman led all scorers with 29 points for Siena Heights (5-2, 2-1 WHAC), making 12-of-13 shots from the floor. Peyton Banks added 20 points and eight boards.

"Tonight just was not our night," head coach
John Kenger said afterwards. "We have to get back to basics and bounce back and be ready to go this weekend against Lawrence Tech and Rochester."

Lourdes (2-6, 1-3) will return home to the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves host Lawrence Tech. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
