Wright State-Lake pitching limited Lourdes to just five hits over two games on Sunday afternoon as the Lakers defeated the Gray Wolves 4-0 and 4-2 at Montgomery Field in Celina, Ohio.
 
The Laker pitchers struck out 20 Gray Wolves over 14 innings and Wright State-Lake's offense was able to take advantage of 12 walks from Lourdes hurlers on the day.
 
In game one, Wright State-Lake scored three times in the opening inning, taking advantage of three walks and a hit by pitch.  The Lakers added an insurance run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly.
 
Casey Grimm went the distance, striking out 10 while yielding just two hits to the Gray Wolves, for the win.
 
In game two, Lourdes pitchers allowed just one hit, but seven walks in the first four innings allowed the Lakers to build a 3-0 lead.  Harrison Jackson (Millbury, Ohio/Lake H.S.) put the Gray Wolves on the scoreboard in the fifth, scoring from second on a strikeout that had to be thrown down to first.  Joey Oehlers (Lambertville, Mich./Bedford H.S.) added a RBI single in the sixth to pull Lourdes within one.
 
Wright State-Lake (7-6) broke up the no-hitter in the sixth, while adding an unearned run for insurance.
 
Layne Riley went six innings, striking out eight while allowing two runs and three hits for the win.  Zach Brown (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) and Travis Thompson (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush H.S.) combined for the one-hitter for the Gray Wolves.
 
Lourdes (8-10) will continue its road trip on Wednesday afternoon, heading to Georgetown, Ky. to face Georgetown (Ky.).  First pitch in the doubleheader is set for 2 p.m. at Robert N. Wilson Field.
