Lourdes set a new school mark with its 12^th consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves rolled past Lawrence Tech 68-41 inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
 
Eleven of the Gray Wolves' 12 victories during the streak have been by double figures as Lourdes also extended its home court win streak to 18 straight games.
 
"It's special to achieve a record," head coach Dennis Hopson said.  "It's a confidence boost for the guys.  They are starting to reap the benefits of the work they have been putting in."
 
The first half was tight throughout with Lawrence Tech holding a 21-19 lead at the seven-minute mark.  The Gray Wolves scored the next eight points in just over two minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the night on the way to building a 32-24 halftime advantage.
 
Lourdes scored the first seven points out of the locker room to jumpstart a 21-5 run over the first six minutes of the second half.  The defense clamped down, yielding just 17 points after intermission while limiting Lawrence Tech to just 25.9% shooting from the floor in the final 20 minutes.  The Gray Wolves maintained a 20-point advantage the rest of the way to close out the four-game homestand in style.
 
"The second half was great," Hopson commented.  "We were clicking on all cylinders with regards to our defense.  We were not allowing their guys to get open looks."
 
Little Anderson (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) led four Gray Wolves in double figures with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including four triples.  McRay White (Cleveland, Ohio/Garfield H.S.) added a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.
 
Nick Welch (Temperance, Mich./Saint Mary Catholic Central H.S.) tallied 12 points and nine boards, just missing a double-double while Joey Holifield (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch H.S.) poured in 11 points. 
 
Lourdes shot 44.8% from the field and committed just seven turnovers while registering eight steals defensively while forcing the Blue Devils into 13 miscues.  Lawrence Tech shot just 30.9% from the floor and made only 4-of-24 (16.7%) shots beyond the arc.
 
Gunnar Gustafson led Lawrence Tech (11-8, 8-5 WHAC) with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Alek Ivanovic chipped in 11 points.
 
Lourdes (17-3, 9-3) heads to Rochester Hills, Mich. on Monday evening to make up a Dec. 30 postponement against Rochester (Mich.).  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. inside of Garth Pleasant Arena.
